SQUID GAME – Victoria carmargo rompe

Once upon a time in a quiet town tucked between rolling green hills, there lived a little girl named Emi. Emi was known throughout the village not only for her fluffy pigtails and bright pink rain boots, but also for the little glass jar she always carried.

It wasn’t an ordinary jar—it was her Cloud Jar.

Emi would say, “This is where I keep all the little clouds I catch when no one is looking!” The villagers would smile and nod. Children her age would giggle and play along, helping her “catch clouds” on misty mornings or during light spring rains.

No one knew how she did it, but her jar often seemed to glow softly, and sometimes, if you looked closely, it really did seem like a tiny puff of cloud floated inside.

One day, a boy named Luca, who had just moved into town, asked Emi, “Why do you catch clouds?”

Emi blinked and looked at him like he’d asked why birds sing or why the moon glows. “Because clouds are the softest, gentlest things. If someone feels sad or tired, I open the jar just a little, and the cloud gives them a cuddle.”

Luca laughed at first. But then one day, when he came to school with red eyes from crying, Emi walked up silently and opened her jar just a crack.

A warm mist swirled around them—so faint you might think it was your imagination. But Luca smiled, the first real smile he’d had in days.

From that day on, more people started believing in the Cloud Jar. Maybe it was magic. Maybe it was just Emi’s kindness floating in the air. But the town felt softer, warmer, and a little more like home.

And Emi? She just kept catching clouds—one gentle hug at a time.
